The Deerwood/Crosby Area, known as the Cuyuna Range neighborhood, is located east of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Previously known for mining, it has quickly become a very popular destination for mountain biking, scuba diving and trout fishing. It is the home of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area and features 25 miles of Mountain Biking Trails, a 6-mile paved Cuyuna Lakes State Trail and 20 mine pit lakes with excellent clarity and depths up to 500 feet. Crosby is also well known as the antique shop mecca of the area! Bay Lake and Serpent Lake are 2 of the larger and more popular lakes in the area with Bay Lake offering resort and dockside dining opportunities.
